Summer week 4 (2nd half term)


Hi Ouse class. Here are all your new activities for this week. 
I hope you are all doing OK and managing to complete some of the tasks set. 
Please don't forget to send me photographs of anything you would like me to share on the blog. It is so lovely seeing all the great things everyone is doing.

Weekly English Tasks (plus daily reading) 
It's the second week of the Wizards Talk for writing unit this week.Carry on working through the unit, as it is organised to build up to a final piece of writing at the end of week two.

Spellings
Here are a few fun worksheets looking at words. Have a go at at least 2 of them. The answers are also provided.

Science

This week I want you to investigate what happens to certain materials when they are heated up or cooled down. Below are some links to information powerpoints and activities.

Heating and cooling worksheets Choose either 4A, 4B or 4C and then have a go at the recipe.

Geography

This week I want you to do some map work where you use an atlas or map to locate various cities around the UK.
On the worksheet below I would like you to label the cities on the map in the correct place.

Design & Technology










This week the time has come for you to decorate you cakes. I can't wait to see all your marvellous creations. Don't forget to take lots of photographs of each step.
Let's give Mary Berry a run for her money!
I would like you to email me a picture of your final cake and there will be a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
 I'm going to ask the winner of Carlton Village Virtual Bakeoff - the marvellous Mrs Mackintosh - to be the judge.

French



Ouse Class, for French, please have a look and research The Eiffel Tower. 

Then using your skills produce a PowerPoint, leaflet or poster to entice others to learn about it.

You may also want to make your own Eiffel Tower, it would be lovely to see them on Ouse blog - Have fun building!
